What We Do

Five Practice Areas

Each service is designed for organizations operating across borders, where complexity compounds, jurisdictions multiply, and the cost of getting it wrong is significant.

01
Contract Intelligence & Review

Executive-level review of NDAs, term sheets, subscription agreements, and commercial contracts. We identify risk exposure, negotiation leverage, and structural issues. We prepare the file before it reaches outside counsel, saving you time and fees.

02
Compliance Program Design

We design and document your compliance framework from the ground up, tailored to your regulatory exposure, cross-border footprint, and operational profile. Built once. Built right. Aligned with US, EU, and Latin American regulatory environments.

03
Compliance Training

Hands-on training for your team on the compliance program, internal protocols, and cross-border regulatory requirements. Practical, not academic. Designed for the people who have to execute it every day.

04
Due Diligence Support

Structured document review and risk mapping on new investment opportunities and business relationships. Particular depth in cross-border transactions, private placements, alternative assets, and European counterparties.

05
Family Office Operations

Senior operational support for family offices managing complex, cross-border investment portfolios. We provide the legal and compliance intelligence your operations require, without the cost of a full-time hire. See full detail below.

All engagements are confidential and results-driven.

Atlântica Crossborder provides business and strategic advisory services only. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal representation or legal advice.

Family Office Practice

A Sector We Know
From the Inside.

A segment of family offices operates at a level of complexity that standard solutions were never designed to serve. Cross-border investment portfolios, multi-jurisdictional regulatory exposure, and sophisticated transaction structures demand a different kind of operational support.

Atlântica Crossborder works with family offices navigating exactly that complexity. We understand how these organizations operate, how decisions are made, and what it takes to keep everything running cleanly across borders.

Growing alternative and international portfolios with increasing cross-border complexity
Multi-jurisdictional operations requiring consistent compliance across US, EU and Latin American markets
Active deal flow that requires senior operational support without a permanent hire
Principals who expect discretion, precision, and someone who understands both sides of the Atlantic

"Trust and confidentiality are the foundation of everything we do."

Our services are the same across all client types. What changes is how we apply them. For family offices, that means understanding your investment profile, your regulatory environment, and the level of discretion your principals expect.

Small Business

Without a
Legal Department

Not every company is ready for in-house counsel. But every company, regardless of size, signs contracts, works with vendors, and operates within a regulatory environment that does not make exceptions.

Atlântica Crossborder works with small businesses that need a senior partner in their corner, without the cost or complexity of a formal legal structure. We become your trusted partner, helping you navigate contracts, compliance, and critical business decisions with the rigor and discretion your business deserves.

The same standards.
The same discretion.
Right-sized for your business.

Where It Starts

Initial Strategy
Session

Every engagement begins with a conversation. Before any commitment, we dedicate one focused hour to understanding your situation, your needs, and whether we are the right fit for each other.

A focused, confidential discussion to assess your needs, map your cross-border complexity, and define the right path forward. No commitment required beyond the session.

Ongoing Engagements

Three Ways to Work Together

After the initial session, we structure the engagement around what works best for your organization and your goals.

Option A
Monthly
Retainer

Fixed monthly fee. Consistent availability, predictable cost. Best for clients who need a reliable senior partner every month.

Option B
Project
Based

Scoped and priced per project. Ideal for compliance program design, due diligence, or any defined deliverable with a clear timeline.

Option C
By the
Hour

For one-time needs or clients who prefer flexibility. Minimum engagement applies. No commitment beyond what your situation requires.

How We Work

Precise.
Discreet.
Accountable.

Every engagement is scoped carefully, executed with rigor, and measured by outcomes, not hours.

I
Scoping Conversation

We begin with a confidential conversation to understand your operational needs, regulatory exposure, and what a successful engagement looks like.

II
Tailored Engagement Design

No standard packages. Each engagement is designed specifically for your organization: its size, structure, cross-border footprint, and priorities.

III
Execution with Discretion

We operate quietly alongside your team. Our work is thorough, our communication is direct, and our discretion is absolute.

IV
Measurable Outcomes

Compliance programs that get implemented. Contracts reviewed before they become problems. Teams that understand what they're doing and why.

Founder & Managing Partner

Karla brings to Atlântica Crossborder more than 20 years of senior experience in international corporate and transactional matters across Europe and the Americas. Holding a Master's degree in Contracts from Université Paris II, Panthéon-Assas, and having built her career across European, US, and Latin American business environments, she navigates cross-border culture and commercial practice with fluency and ease.

Having worked in international law firms and as senior in-house legal counsel for two Swiss international organizations, Karla understands firsthand the operational reality most legal departments face: workload that peaks beyond capacity, yet not enough to justify a permanent hire. Atlântica Crossborder was built precisely for that moment. Senior support, without the overhead.

Based in Boca Raton, Florida, she works across borders with family offices, corporations, and private investors who require precision, discretion, and someone who truly understands both sides of the Atlantic.
